On Monday 7th March 2016 Year 3 joined in with the whole-school theme of World Climate Week. Pupils arrived in the morning to clue cards laid out on their tables and were asked to guess what day we were celebrating. We enjoyed an assembly by the Eco-Team which started to give us an overview of what Climate Week is all about. Back in class we looked at climates from around the world and compared these to our climate here in the UK. We were able to identify that climate change is the changing weather in many parts of the world which affects the lives of millions of people. We thought of ways to prevent climate change and created a poster using the iPads. We will display our posters around school. We created our own promise of ways in which we will help to reduce our own carbon footprint and created some amazing artwork which highlights ‘human change not climate change’ as our way to help prevent further damage to the environment.
