This term we having been computer technologists and used a variety of different ICT software. We have used Ipads, laptops and the interactive whiteboard in our classroom. The children loved coming up to the board demonstrating to the class what they had to do. They enjoyed taking turns being the teacher. During our computer room sessions we explored the programme 'Scratch.' The children loved pressing the 'pur' sound button and this must have happened on full volume at atleast 100 times! All of our ears were ringing afterwards! We have been able to programme the cat 'Scratch' to make sounds and move around the screen. Over the last few weeks we have used the Ipads and the app 'Hopscotch' in order to get the character to move around the screen. The children loved making the character change colour and form. The childrenhave become very good at programming.
