Autumn 1 in Year 2 Lobsters.
This term our topic is Land Ahoy!
We will be learning about Pirates through our English and Topic lessons. We started our topic of this week with a memorable experience. We followed clues from Pirate Pete and discovered the hidden treasure using our map skills. In small groups we were able to find the hidden treasure and steal the gold. It was very exciting and great fun!
Throughout this topic we will be developing our knowledge and understanding of the history of famous pirates. This week in class we have started to create our own pirate ships using Lego to create leavers and moving mechanisms.
