Welcome to Year 4 Jellyfish

Homework

Children should have their reading books in school every day and should be reading at home on a daily basis. It is vital that your child is doing this as this will have an effect on their writing and other subjects in school. Children will receive their homework on a Monday and this should be returned to school by Friday. Again, it is tremendously important that your child is doing their homework every week. Times tables (including division facts) should be secure by the end of year 4 so this will be a priority for those children who do not know theirs. Please allow your children to log on to Times Tables Rock Stars on a regular basis so that they can be involved in the competitions and the battles we create against other classes. The children thoroughly enjoy taking part in the competitive aspect of the website and they are improving their times tables skills at the same time. Children will be given a list of 10 spellings per week which follow a spelling rule for them to practice at home. Each child should be taking home and returning a reading book which has been assigned to them.
