Castle Fun

To end our topic 'Did dragons exist?' we had a castle dress up day. The children and staff came dressed as knights, dragons and princesses. They all looked fantastic!

We then found out about the different jobs people would have to do in a castle. The children then pretended to be living and working in a castle. We had lots of fun pretending to carry out the jobs. Some children even volunteered to be the gong farmers (toilet cleaners)! The children then made their own hats for our castle banquet.

Then outside we went for a jousting competition. The children raced their horses towards the post and jabbed it with their jousts. The children were very supportive of each other and cheered each other on. The winning team was Clownfish class. :) Excellent jousting!

Then it was time for lunch. We made our way to the hall where a banquet had been set up. We bowed and curtsied to the Lord and Lady, then sat down for an amazing feast. We returned to the banquet hall later to practise our medieval dancing.
